Visitor Information

For more than 40 years, Charles E. Burchfield lived and painted in Gardenville, an area located in the northern end of the town of West Seneca.  This area is now home to our center, situated on 29 acres of nature trails and woods, wild and cultivated gardens, alongside the banks of the scenic Buffalo Creek.

Today, people of all ages visit the gallery and grounds of our center to experience art and nature at its best.  Adult and children's classes and activities, gallery exhibitions, festivals and special events means there's something for everyone at our center.

Friends of Burchfield Center sum up successful year

The Friends of Burchfield Nature & Art Center released their second year report outlining many of the events and activities that took place from October 2011 through September 2012. The group has been overseeing park, gallery and classroom activities at the BNAC for the Town of West Seneca since October 2010.

The Friends of BNAC have documented more than 4,600 volunteer hours in the past year, sponsored classes during school breaks, conducted family activities in the park, held summer concerts and docent tours, hosted art exhibits in the gallery and provided other activities to encourage public use of the building and grounds.

Currently, Friends of Burchfield Nature and Art BNAC consist of approximately 50 volunteers who give time, talents and labor throughout the year. They enjoy planning, assisting and participating in happenings at the Center and especially take pride in seeing others appreciating the facilities at 2001 Union Road.
